Nothing wrong with people sitting back and picking others off, it happens on the server without the AWP so why not restrict it to 2 per team so its not an awp fest and people will still play the way others like it aswell.

I voted no - learn to use a scout, can one shot someone anyway like an AWP if played right and plenty can do it on #3 :P

even 1 per team in right hands gonna be enough to annihilate all enemy team. hope you guys wont ever bring awp back in 20vs20 game.

Voted No! I'm with the others AWP's ruin maps and limiting it to 2 per team just promotes inequality and leaves room for bickering, that no doubt admins would have to get involved :roll:

I think two per team would be an interesting change. We could also implement a script or something that limits your use of the AWP to no more than two consecutive rounds a map.

My vote goes for 2 per team. That was the way it was implemented before and in my opinion should be again.
They are a bit OP yes, but always felt like an occasion if u finally got one.

I have run several votes ingame over a month period, i also ran a forum poll myself previously.

the results is the majority always favored the awps being off, as the rounds were quicker, as there was less room to camp with the awp at the back window. it also encourage some major rushing and some major chaos and mayhem which people loved when the server is full. I think you could lose this is awps are brought back.

however, i too am a fan of the awps, i voted 2 per team also, whilst i do like the awps, from a practical perspective i think they should remain off or have them voted on similar to the other 2 servers.

We did have a vote on this back in 2012 as rene mentioned:

With exactly 50% of people wanting 2 awps per team and only 19% wanting no awps whatsoever.

As for server polls, I got the exact opposite results from your server polls by switching the options around from Rene's. i.e. option 1 is always a popular option no matter what it says :P Hence I prefer the forum polls :)

I quite like being able to vote for it to be activated ingame, but the 'awp' usually resets to default 'off' on a new map (like friendly fire) on server #1 & #2. However, as the map does not reset for at least a day at a time, we would have to have a different code so that awp stays only for e.g. 30 minutes from when it is activated.

Saying awp will force more camping or is an op weapon is bullshit. Don't know how many rounds I played where there is 2-3Ts left and 4-7CTs left and the CTS are to scared to rush in. If you want to reduce camping on servers add a script that slays the team that fail an object.

Yes awp is strong against bad players because they don't know how to play against a good awper. That's why sometimes you have people getting 7-10 kills/round with an awp.

2awps/team would be perfect in my opinion.

I'm sure when the awps were taken off 3 there was a poll and the results showed people wanted awps back on 3. This must be the one Ren referred to?

AWP's are fun for people who know how to use em and for people that know how to beat an awper. I'm a bit of both. I miss the awp on 3 so I've voted 2 per team, however, I do love rushing in and have never really had a problem with rushing against an awper. There's many ways to beat an awper, flash, nade, fake, sneak, peak, etc etc... And beating a camping noob awper (someone who can only use awp and stays in one spot every round for the next 15 or so rounds) is so much more buzz and the rest of the team join in on the "rush the noob awper".

Over the years, I've used many weapons against an awper and when the days of deag + shotgun ruled, awp's had no chance against me. Awp's make newbe's learn more on how to play the game. Personally I think when Awp was on 3, there was less blocking and less flashing, now that there's no awp camping garage window, sidehall or t spawn, every rush or even just a push, most of the team block and teamflash more carelessly. When awp was on, I think these types always stayed back more and a brave few of them actually "thought" before they bumped into their team mate or threw a flash.

Can we at least get somebody to seriously consider putting this back on? Your community is asking for it to be put back on and yet all the high ranked decision makers have yet to reply to the community regarding this subject....
