Computer Carry Cases

Postby Garner on Tue May 20, 2014 2:04 pm

Hi all
Since my last lan, i have a bigger case that will no longer squeeze into a suitcase :(

Is there any recommendations for any computer carriers?

The case i have is: http://www.ebuyer.com/338358-corsair-gr ... ck-cc600tm

Recommendations would be grateful <3

This should be big enough... http://www.amazon.co.uk/HAUPTSTADTKOFFER-Suitcase-Alex-75-T96_35262503/dp/B0050O54IE/ref=sr_1_38?ie=UTF8&qid=1400595079&sr=8-38&keywords=suitcase
It is a bit pricey tho, Only thing I can suggest is keep an eye on eBay and place like that :)

Xiggy has one that I can't seem to find anywhere now. It's massive and easily capable of taking a full ATX case.

Kustom PC's sell straps like this: http://www.kustompcs.co.uk/acatalog/info_1362.html

Half the problem is finding the right sort of thing, most of the time you end up with laptop bags when you search.

I used a soft carrier thing a couple of lans ago and moved it around on the trolley. It wasn't fun. Going to try and get something like Jim and Moe linked. I'd get the straps but I'm terrified of them breaking and I don't want to advertise I'm lugging around a PC if I end up on a train.

Kev, if you've gone for EAS , then around lunchtime on Thursday to avoid the queues. We arrived last year at 6 and were queueing for 2 hours to get in! If you're coming Friday ( no EAS) then as early as possible I'd say..

I have an Evo-G LB1 bag:

Image

It fits my midi tower (Lian Li) with a little bit of coaxing; no room to rattle around inside at all. All peripherals bar the monitor fit snugly in the side pockets for one single (if slightly heavy) package. I originally got it from Kustom PC after they weren't able to supply the one I had purchased (LB2 version) but Graeme from Kustom PCs was able to help sort out an alternative. I think you will have trouble getting the same type of bag (nothing coming up on google) but you might want to try finding a Hama case?

My Define R4 didn't fit, so rather than doing the sensible thing of buying a bigger suitcase, I bought what seems to be the worlds smallest ATX case.

It's £15, and crap, but it is tiny, worryingly light... and actually surprisingly sturdy with everything bolted in.

Temperatures are *ok* if you take the front panel off, takes a standard ATX PSU, and it'll fit a full length GPU or two - If anyone is looking to do the same, it's actually a pretty good option.
