There do seem to be custom maps out, but you can't download from the client host, not surprised given how little the average upload rate is for connections in general

I wonder how big a typical map or campaign would be :S

Now one medal and level 24 after a day's acclimatisation and hammering.
This kinda game just strikes such a good balance between casual and intense. Don't need pinpoint accuracy, then again still need to be aware and just can't go on autopilot. Love it!

Not sure how I feel about doing insane runs, tried one at the end of last night and ntoiced first level before the dual tech doors are immediately parasites and they're no fun. It'll up the intensity which I love but with unsyncronized people will just be frustrating.

Now speedruns, they're always fun!

It's awesome. I hope someday UKCS will get a couple AS servers up, especially if Valve supports it with additional content.

Also don't underestimate the PDW as a burst/secondary weapon.

Hmm when you get to 27 you have the option to be promoted (up to 3 times) and start off at level one again but not if you were lvl 8.

I like Alien Swarm. Its a good shooter. Pity that it wasn't made a First-Person-Shooter. If it was, it'd be a lot easier to aim, turn etc.

it's good cos it's top-down. If it was a fps it be the same/worse than 1000s of other games

Yeah i think the view is part of the charm - takes some getting used to but its a nice change.

Not sure its a game that's going to last though. Seems that these 4 player coops are really fun for a few months and then rapidly drop off
