Need help with GMod!

Given our kin-ship with HalfLife 2, here is a separate forum to discuss anything related to HalfLife 2 and the various Mods out there (eg, Gary Mod, Zombie mod etc)

Need help with GMod!

Postby .Execute on Sun Oct 07, 2007 2:05 pm

I downloaded GMod, and i have looked in SteamApps, GMod is supposedly there, all the files are installed and ready to go. So, i restart STEAM, and there is no GMod listing there.. just all the games i have, no GMod =(

Is there anyway to fix this? For help i'm using Vista.

Is this GMod 9 or 10 (bought off steam)

If its 9, You have to place it in the source mods folder
I am 47% addicted to Counterstrike. What about you?

Do you have the Source SDK and Half Life2? (both MUST be installed)

steam doesnt check many folders deep.
make sure all your gmod files are in one folder called gmod or what ever.
make sure its not another folder in the folder that contains all the gmod files.

I get same issue. Just doesn't want to show in steam games list and there is no shortcut either.
