Definetly worth of trying atleast. It's pretty realistic and good. Many people play it for real, tho you'll always run into fools, but they are mostly insurgents. US team usually has more tactical people. I play Insurgency with my friends very realisticly and tactically, like we play airsoft. We are usually on top of the scoreboard anyway.
Basicly, from atleast AK-47 and L1A1 rifles kill with one shot to chest usually. I found L1A1 the most accurate and best weapon in the game, tho it's semi only.
Only bad thing I find in Insurgency, is that you can't see very far, there is an annoying fog effect thing, and with sniper rifles, somewhy it comes earlier. (Without scope you see further) You can see the furthers with corners of your "screen" or view. (like BF2)

I find Sinjar quite easy for marines. A is pretty easy to capture, if you rush in instantly when the game begins, or if all insurgents aren't on the hill, in good positions. After A, use the busses and cars for cover when approaching B. However, when I play with my friends, we almost always flank right, climb up to the far right side of map and enter the town there. Usually the rest of our team is already pushing toards B, and it's easy to shoot the insurgents in the back, and then capture B. C isn't very hard either, unless the insurgents can hold the town properly, and no marines can sneak in. D is just spawnkilling all insurgents that try to get out, while pushing in from all directions, tho you have to have people outside still watching when you get in, since D is just a small room in the small building, where insurgents spawn into the other room and upstairs, they can easily get to throw a grenade into the room, killing everyone capturing it.
