Alien Swarm from Valve [FREE GAME]

Single player is pretty good you just gotta play it like a strategy/tactics game. If you press the x button all the bots stop moving but will attack anything in range and if you press f1-f4 you can take control of each bot and position them wherever you want. You can order tech's to hack stuff and other classes to setup SGs aswell

I set bots up covering chokepoints then run foward and lure loads of aliens back and they get toasted in the cross fire. Then i move foward and setup another choke point. when you want them to start moving again just press v and they'll start following you again. With a combo of x/v and some good tactics/positioning i think the campaign can be beaten with the AI

Best wep so far i find is the Tesla.. distracts the swarm and also hits multiple targets at same time..really handy for disrupting those shielded ones too..

and doesn't deal any friendly fire, and doesn't use ammo unless you hit with it.

That said for the first few stages, the chainsaw is epic, with only the basic type of alien it is great just holding it down and pushing through

So I don't know if this question has already been asked but:

I realy like Alien Swarm with friends but I'm wondering if they are actually planning on adding more campaigns to it.

Because it's a free game I don't know if they will but anyway let me know if you know

well, when you go to choose campaign in the voting bit there is clearly lots of space for additional missions/campaigns, don't forget the SDK!

Since the tools are out the community will make up some more content, and I think since the original mod team that created the game made the Source conversion in thier spare time I doubt they will simply drop it now, plus the TF 2 Hat tie leads me to speculate that Valve may have plans to run with this for a while... it is after all a relatively cheap source of positive image boosting (free game + free updates).
