CS:GO Maps On UKCS CS:S!!

Postby MotsMan on Tue Jan 17, 2012 10:27 pm

Hello, after some requests we have now uploaded ported versions of the CS:GO maps de_dust and de_dust2 onto UKCS CS:S :D

These two map as I hope you will see are visually stunning versions of some much loved classic maps! However both of them are very large files (120MB each uncompressed) and as to save you lot long downloading times on the servers potentially missing the maps we've provided them right here. Just download the file and extract it to your "cstrike/maps" folder then your done!

Enjoy

The admin team.

You'll find below a few screenshots taken of the maps.

I've played on a couple of servers with these maps on. They are brilliant!

Have they replaced the old dust maps? Would hate to go from dust2 to dust2_csgo. 50 mins of dust would kill anyone.

Was pretty decent.. but I thought the maps were too light and foggy.. not enough contrasts.

I find these maps cause massive fps drops, and i've noticed people saying the same. For people with not so great computers (me being one of them) i'm getting around 30fps with a full server which makes playing pretty difficult.

yeah a nightmare to play. nice little gimmick for those that play it for the first time. For me personally it's one of the maps that comes on and I quit after the pistol round.
tbh they would make good guest maps? just a thought :)

I can appreciate the fact people have low framerates and this is a major issue, but people should get PCs from this decade >:P

I tend to think people actually like the improved map quality, since it is visually appealing. If it were not to be the case, I guess new games would not sell, and we would all still be running around on Doom 1 type maps :P

Appreciate not every has the money to upgrade their pc but surely in 2012 css should be running above 100 fps for any pc built in the last 5 years ? The game is old. How do you guts play bf3 if you get 30 fps on a go map ?
