Gravity was set up prior to Sunday test, but something must have been wrong with the setup. I have asked TC to look into it. :)

Second question :) Once we have settled on a number of maps to be played and ones to be removed, which will give us an idea of how many maps will be on the server, I will look into those.
I am sure you can appreciate that having a very large number of maps on the server, will lead to quite a number of maps that cannot be played due to the time period that server #4 is turned on for. :)


Well blahhh should be removed - that's 1 map space right there for something else :P

As soon as there may be a issue that not all maps will be played (which is what I feel is being inferred), there are some maps ready to be taken off rotation. And blahh has got to be pretty high up the list to be replaced :D

P.S. For anybodys information, Mrs Rapidbyte is the new map test admin, I'm just speaking from a personal opinion point of view.

Blah has already been requested for removal and from all the posts above yours, there has not been one request to keep it.

Ah, right, that makes sense. I'm glad these map types are even being considered. Me, MrsRapidByte and Goat tried an xc/climb map yesterday, they seemed to like it :) They'll have to comment on that themselves though.

Climb servers (ones that have xc maps on) will usually have a mod to save position and teleport back up once you fall, so you don't have to start from the beginning. Without this mod, climb maps can be frustrating, but if we find a simple enough map for beginners it might be a hit.

In the same way, surf maps would work best for beginners if you could mod it so respawning is on.

I'm guessing you can't add mods to the UKCS mod, so I'm guessing these things require a lot of work.

Mods could be added to UKCS#4, it runs metamod and sourcemod. In the past it's always just been preferred however to run only code owned/written by TC (well as well as KAC :P).
I am 47% addicted to Counterstrike. What about you?

Nice, do you know if it would be worth the time to add a climbing mod if it's only used for like an hour on sundays (tops) though?

IDEA! UKCS climb and surf server!.. yeah, no.

Who or what is KAC btw? I'm not gonna blow my brain up by trying to figure out yet another acronym.

Sweet! btw Tato, if you haven't tried XC/climb maps, you should, rumor has it that you know how to jump :) I'd be glad to get some people on the XC wagon anyway, the more who like it the more likely it will be tested on UKCS.

I've been playing xc/kz maps for years now, it's how im so good at jumping :p

I've been drinking Tato. Nice though, kind of figured :)

I used to play those maps a lot a few years back, it can be really frustrating, but still you can't leave because you just have to get to the top! Really addictive :)

Would be nice to see sg_tetris and ka_smashtheglass back on Server #4 rotation - fun maps and would make a nice change :)
