done the usual. client.blob, drivers checked, restarted, logged out logged in etc... fking annoying

Lots of empty pages and "testshell-error", but apart from that it's OK.

Yes I had that, the fix is: Open up the control panel, get to the "Internet Options", the "Connections" tab then "LAN settings", uncheck "Automatically detect settings" then restart steam. Worked like a charm for me!

I have that already done, seems webkit still doesnt like my vista x64

I managed to get a reskin for the UI. It looks alot better, basically, it changes it all around so it looks alot better, and makes friends a bit easier to use (by being in the top right rather then the bottom right) and a few touches here and there. I'm trying to find it again on the steam forums but I'm lacking the ability to find it :<

Found it. If you want it, theres a link buried in there somewhere on the first page
Although, thats not the only one on there if don't like it, there is quite a few people trying to make it look better, and I must admit, they are doing a better job then valve with some of them
Best thing to do is search skins on the Steam UI beta forum on the steam forums

I have had one or two problems with the UI update since I went for it, but they seem to have been fixed already. The main one was when I was in-game, and I brought up a chat box for one of the people on my friend list, most of the time anytime of the keys I hit wouldn't show up until I hit enter to send it, then the message would decide to appear.
But other than that, can't complain about the UI update. Everything has been going smoothly

im not using this anymore, although it looks much nicer, its a lot slower and every time i start up tf2 and go into the steam web browser its logged me out of the forums and its done this a few times in-game as well.
