It depends how much peace and quiet it generates for you and the missus I guess. :)

I kind of like the camera placement on the back as it seems it would be easier to quickly focus on stuff.

Never got a job I applied for so decided to cheer myself up and upgrade my pc!

On it's way are a Intel i7 4970k quad core on a Asus Z97-P ATX Mobo with a superclocked Geforce 4GB 970x

Currently running on an AMD 6core 1055t with a GA-880GM-UD2H mobo and a 2gb AMD r9 270 graphics card.

I bought that processor in may 2012 and it's been a bloody good work horse. Only just started to struggle in recent months with new games such as battlefront and GTA V.
The 270 i upgraded for last year, I had a Radeon 7970 that i bought at release for £400 quid and last year it got replaced by the cheap R9 270 as it was dying.

My brother is giving a party next week so I decided to order nearly €200 worth of booze for this. I believe he deserves and his friends deserve to enjoy themselves by going all out like this. :)

I may be jumping the gun as I don't even have a date for my knee surgery yet but I invested in some running shoes. I also grabbed a nice new fluffy towel and the ingredients for chocolate salty balls. :P

The shoes are more of a dark orange than they look in the picture.

Hmm, my jeans have been moulting on the hearth rug again.

I just bought a load of stuff too, treating myself.
Regatta 3 in 1 coat with a hydrostatic head of 15000mm goretex type waterproof breathable and expensive. Good to know that whatever is thrown at me this winter I will stay dry and warm.
New Trainer/Walking shoe by Karrimor Breathable and waterproof again, also expensive + £250 of sundry items including Berghaus and Craghopper trousers. Gearing up for winter is expensive, but at least with all the latest tech, it will last some time.

Then of course Christmas is coming up, so bought a laptop for a friend, sick of seeing her struggle with an old Dell. Kids are easy one is in Mali the other is in Brussels, so they will get money to spend. One in Mali will have to wait until she gets somewhere stable or gets back, although don't know what you would call stable for Red Cross workers.

Forgot, just bought an Android Box with Kodi preloaded, fed up of setting up the laptop, thought a more permanent solution would be better.

I hammered the hell out of a pair of Karrimor walking shoes over the last couple of years and they are still going strong as my go to for anything but heavier snow for which my trusty decade old Berghaus boots get a fresh coat of wax to get me through anything. Some brands are more of a solid investment over time rather than expensive. :)

I totally agree. The reason I ostensibly went back with Karrimor was because the ones I have at the moment, are only just wearing out after a 5 years of regular service.
Nothing wrong with good wax Paramo gear uses nikwax for their waterproofing or at least the jackets I looked at do. Berghous use goretex, but don't know about the boots, but they are supposed to be very good. I have a supply of nikwax in. Thanks for the reminder to do the boots :)

I've been tidying up the old homestead a bit and nipped off to Dunelm to peruse their sale. I got a nice big throw to disguise my ageing leather sofa and warm it up a bit, a little Ottoman and a pizza cutter in purple of course. Now I can keep the herd of remote controls somewhere I can also use as a coffee table/footrest.

I blew some Christmas money and got some inner ear buds as after my operation I can use them again, Guardians of the Galaxy on Blue-ray and a nice discounted tool box.

I spotted a bargain in Sainsbury today and though 'what the hell' so came home with The Stick of Truth for PS3. So far I found the bathroom and pooped, this is a quality game obviously.

Got home just in time for a parcel delivery containing my new shiny red milk frother.

While in Brum to catch Deadpool I took the opportunity to get a present for my great nephew from the Disney store. I smuggled Pooh into the movie in my backpack but he wasn't old enough to watch a 15 and it contained no honey anyway. He is Deadpooh.

I spotted a few things today and splurged a bit.

A white ICE watch at a bargain price, an interesting patterned shirt and a slim spatula in purple of course. No way I was going to shell out £75 for an ICE but £19.99 is reasonable for a fashion watch.
