Bumptop!

Postby Xerxes on Wed Apr 08, 2009 8:31 pm

...is now out of closed beta! http://bumptop.com/

I've had it on beta for a few weeks (only recently invited onto the program), and I have to say, it's fun to use and makes organisation of lots of icons very easy. I personally haven't used any of the "Pro features" that were on the beta, so you probably won't be missing out by using the free version. :)

Definitely worth a look! :)

'Tis rather fun, useful for clearing up your desktop as well, takes a little bit of getting used to but it's good after that :)

A very nice app, I reccommend people at least give it a go.

It might be an issue for slower machines, but my desktop is SO Much more managable :)

I think that will probably be fine. No harm in trying it out anyway, eh? Just uninstalls like any other program if you don't want it. :)

Looks cool but all the programs like this I have used to 'enhance' the desktop end up just being a resource hog and actually you can do ok without them. Might give it a bash later though.. bored at work :)

It's not too bad for resources really; 65Mb of RAM, which is about half of what Firefox is currently using on my PC, and practically no CPU usage when it is running either.

Seen it before on TED. I was about to download it then I realised that you only get some stuff for free - it's the stuff that you don't get that I wanted most.

LOL gand
"The rover batteries have 18kwh of juice. The oxygenator alone uses 44.1kwh per sol. See my problem?
You know what? "Kilowatt-hours per sol" is a pain in the ass to say. I'm gonna invent a new scientific unit name.
One kilowatt-hour per sol is... it can be anything.. um...I suck at this ... oh FK it. I'll call it a "pirate-ninja".
All told, the Big Three need 69.9pn, most of that going to the Oxygenator and Atmospheric regulator."
