You can use passive water cooling which works well but you need space for the large aluminium cooling tower.
I want to die peacefully in my sleep like my grandad
not screaming in terror like the passengers in his car.

Personally I would go for a amd 7850 they overclock massively giving you the performance of cards at much higher prices (40-50 percent overclocks achievable if not more)

I recently bought a ssd I got a sandisk extreme 120gb for £68 delivered from ebuyer it's very quick benched at 550 read 520 write its been reliable so far and uses the more expansive NAND. Would recommend it and the firmware updating is very easy compared to most.
