rofl the guy is blatantly just advertising OverClockers.

Yes Alienwares are expensive, yes you can get the same thing cheaper, but they sure as hell don't have the issues he's describing. I'd be very surprised if he isnt an employee of overclockers.co.uk

most mainstream online disributors that sell readymade pc's are shit for customer service as they never want to believe its their product "user error".

but i always build my own . then i know wots wrong with it and have no-one to blame but myself . for the sake of 1hr or so and install it gives me peace of mind.

i dunno where that guy got p4EE is 520 squid from , crack head

castor said it was a 3.4 p4 extreme . thats a prescott priced at around 159 pounds. nutters

neway . he shuld have got a 64

Like wise build my own, and allways have.
Best way, at least you know that the parts you get are compatible with what you expect to achieve with your machine.

After my p4 3.04 pres*HOT* took my mobo out last weekend id decided id had enough
Thing is id just spent £120 on a thermaltake kandalf case so i was really pissed off that i had to spend more money
I ended up buying the amd 64 3200 venice core and an abit 3rd eye mobo for £210 this plus my case = £330
plus the £270 id already paid for a 6800gt =£600
all u need then is some memory and a usual selection of peripherals mouse etc and i could still build one for under a grand...
im still on agp though when my 6800gt dies then ill go pci express (which are miles cheaper than agp).
All in all my p4 3.04 and my gig ram and my 6800gt could only manage 95 fps on 1280x1024 on counter strike *full settings*
now with my new processor im pushing 127 fps
big difference
P4s for spreadsheets and amd for gamin is what i say

good man . 64's are the dogs nuts. they are really good for music production aswell. pentiums need to go away with their big corporate exterior and rethink their game cos at the moment i dont think ill ever have a pent again. pentiums main morket are in business solutions (hp/dell) workstations. and the people who dont know much bout puting so they go with wot they seen on telly. AMD 4 teh win
