Wifi connection

Postby EWJ on Thu Jun 30, 2016 10:00 am

Hi Guys!

Ok, issue is this. My house has shite broadband (12mB) and the fathers has 70 MB. His house is approx 85m from mine. If I'm on his roof (don't ask) i can see my place and vice versa. How do i connect to his house. range extenders, line of sight what?
There are currently no plans for my neighborhood to be upgraded so its more a question of doing now rather than waiting.
I'd much prefer a simple solution to this rather than attaching antenna's to chimneys etc.
God is a defect of the human genome.

There is (or at least was talk of) optical line of sight transmitter and receiver systems, basically a laser connection that may be worth researching, you mentioned you can see the house so it may be feasible.
That's all I can think of to be honest, and I cant imagine it being cheap either :|
