erm death its usually situated closest to your processor and is a bigs PCI type card with a fan attached to the underside

if that doesnt help, find where the monitore is atached to your pc and that is your GC

now if you say its attached to the mobo and not a slot card then you were using onboard graphics all this time and i dont know how tha feck youve been playin css

but anyway you should find it

if your getting a 6600gt get the gigabyte model . thats wot i have as the memory clock is ddr3 1000mhz rather than 600 standard . this is before overclock.

there are less pixel pipelines in the 6600gt and only 1 ramdack whereas the 6800gt and ulta's have 2

now if your quick you should be able to get deaths card at special offer from overclockers.co.uk and its only 20 squid more than 6600 but if you missed the offer than the price difference is quite substantially different .

gigabyte 6600gt is the best 1 and im extremely happy with it but i would advise going for 6800 that deaths got if its still there

6800GT
Core
Process scale (nm) 130
Clock speed (MHz) 350
Vertex pipelines 6
Basic pixel pipelines 16
Mem
Interface width (bits) 256
Clock speed (MHz) 500
Theoretical Peak Performance
Vertex throughput (Mverts/sec) 525
Pixel fill rate (Mpixels/sec) 5600
Memory bandwidth (GB/sec) 32.00

6600GT
Core
Process scale (nm) 110
Clock speed (MHz) 500
Vertex pipelines 3
Basic pixel pipelines 8
Mem
Interface width (bits) 128
Clock speed (MHz) 500
Theoretical Peak Performance
Vertex throughput (Mverts/sec) 375
Pixel fill rate (Mpixels/sec) 2000
Memory bandwidth (GB/sec) 16.00

those are the hardware specs, the 6800GT is noticeably faster than the 6600GT, but both are fast cards themselves, you can get cheap 6800GT's these days (AGP), how much are the 6600GT's that you're looking at?
