SLI Query.

Postby Dr Feelgood on Tue Jul 19, 2005 4:23 pm

Hi Guys

I am building my own PC for the first time.

I've got a ASUS A8N-SLI Deluxe Mobo, and I know that you have to use 2 GFX card of the same make e.g 2 x 6600GT.

I was just wondering, do they have to be from the same manufacturer or can I use, for example, one card by XFX and one card by ASUS.

-EDIT-

BOLLOCKS..just realised I posted in the wrong forum, Admins move if you wish.

must be same manufacturer, in theory you can just flash the card so they both havethe same BIOS, but risky, needs to be exact cards.

Should not matter who makes the cards, the interface to the PCIe bus and SLI have to conform to an industry standard.
