fraps again

Postby Death on Fri Aug 05, 2005 3:05 pm

k i had problem a while ago setting up fraps, basically got some experience etc and can now make videos however. I only have the free version of fraps.

I want the official version so that can go longer than 30 second clips.

I dlete the old frpas from my comp.

I have had 4 people send me fraps (full version) many diff versions ranging from old to new.

Now i install the programme fine. however i go to click on it and nothing happens :/

i double click but just doesnt load. happens on all diff version but when do with free trial version it loads.

any ideas why the full version wont load?
oh and gand i need recent version with sound :P

My guess is the trial version has left some registry entries that are stopping it.

I had a similar thing with Alcohol 120%...I deleted all related registry entries and I could then install the full version I had.....obtained.

ok ive used what u said lucan.

Now i got loads of errors on my comp, is every thing that the program says an error? and should i delete it?

now i found some fraps stuff in this folder:

c:/ Documentsandsettings/owner/recent/

i have the following:

c:/ Documentsandsettings/owner/recent/fraps (2).ink
c:/ Documentsandsettings/owner/recent/fraps 2.5.0 (registered)
c:/ Documentsandsettings/owner/recent/fraps.ink
c:/ Documentsandsettings/owner/recent/fraps64.ink

does thaT MEAN they are still on my system or they have been? and again should i delete everything that comes up when i run repair registry?

and could you locate that folder above? i have all hidden folders showing and its not there. so i presume this emans it was on my comp.
