Talk about films, television programs or a good read you'd like to share.

Altered Carbon by Richard Morgan. Read it. You will love it.

See title of the topic, maybe this is why people are getting it wrong =P

Anyway, I'm planning on reading The Count of Monte Cristo next. Very, very long book, and I got it free from work, woohoo!

^ I've also got this book, it's as a go between. Lovecraft can be a bit heavy going, so I read him while I don't have another book to read (am about half way through, and it is pretty damn good).

Finished Pride and Prejudice and Zombies last night, was very amusing. Count of Monte Cristo next, should be fun.

I also read the two side-graphic novels to the Civil War series - X-men and Spiderman. They were enjoyable, but now I want to read Civil War again, such a good graphic novel!

J.R.R. Tolkien - the Children of Hurin.

making my way through the backstory of middle earth and Lord of the Rings. its amazing how in depth he went into middle earth, languages, alphabets the whole business.

Noise/Jacob Burak
Fantastic book about the "noise" living in a modern society causes, and sacrificing the quiet in order to fit in. still reading it though, i unvolunteraly paused reading Song of Fire and Ice series since its 15 pound a volume, and they cut each book into two volumes.

Skarlet by Thomas Emson.

A good book which is the start of a trilogy. The one let down? It didn't advertise the fact the other two books are yet to be written. I wouldn't have bought it otherwise!

Roadside Picnic by the Strugatsky brothers.

It's the book that inspired the game S.T.A.L.K.E.R. and it's incredibly atmospheric. Whenever the main characters are in the zone there's a feeling of constant dread and fear of the unknown. People get killed or maimed by things they cannot see with properties beyond the understanding of current science; yet still they go back to look for more artifacts to sell on the black market in order to survive.

Now reading McMafia: Seriously Organised Crime by Misha Glenny.
It's all about the rise of modern organised crime around the world. It's depressing and fascinating all at the same time.
