[TV] True Blood: wow?

Postby Trev on Tue Nov 17, 2009 11:06 pm

couldn't find a topic on this, might as well start one :)

Since someone at work started blabbing on about how much sex there was, i thought i mght as well watch this. consequently, there wasn't nearly as much as i expected, but.... damn.

partner gave me about 4 book to read, delving into the first one: is there any major differences between the show and the book?

oh, and btw: watch this. absolutely awesome writing.

Well worth watching- the huge twist at the end of series one is worth sticking around for. :D

I do have to agree, there is a lot of sexual content in it.

Watched most of the first season on FX then I forgot to record one week now I am waiting for Channel 4 to catch up. I have heard the TV series and the books live up to the hype but I am not a massive reader :(

I got the first book and after that watched the first season and beginning of season 2.
Only major difference between the book and the show I can think of fast is, book doesn't have that annoying black girl. Also you can't see Sookie's teeth gap in the book.
There's quite a lot little differences tho, like the ending. Oh and the mystical milf doesn't appear in the first book at all...and neither does Jessica.
Can't remember more at the moment, months since I read it.

I thought the TV series was absolute turd.

And apparently the books don't have as much sex in as the TV series, or Jason doesn't get up to as much as the TV series portrays. I'm not sure, this is what a customer told me.

I've watched one episode and it wasn't really my cup of tea.

The first 3 or 4 episodes are quite bad but it does get better, it's not that amazing show but still you might wanna check few more episodes until making the final judgment.

True Blood does have like the best intro ever tho.

Quite like the show, it started off a bit slow. But got better, really liked the introduction of Godric. Might get the books if there is more story to it.

You know what? "Kilowatt-hours per sol" is a pain in the ass to say. I'm gonna invent a new scientific unit name.
One kilowatt-hour per sol is... it can be anything.. um...I suck at this ... oh FK it. I'll call it a "pirate-ninja".
All told, the Big Three need 69.9pn, most of that going to the Oxygenator and Atmospheric regulator."

I thought that Wizav, it was very slow to start with introducing everyone and to ge a feel of it. It does get better but can be slow at times.
