Just in case anyone hasn't spotted it there's a prequel spin-off called Fear the Walking Dead set in the early days of the infection and although it gets off to a bit of a slow start the atmosphere is really sinister.

The 1st episode is rather odd and although I understand the need for it the b&w felt like a dumbing down. The scenes were intriguing and quite visually pleasing and I'm hooked again.

It would have made more sense to use Rick's butterfly stitches to show the older scenes. They should have been taken off long before the plan was carried out.

Also, is there no way they could have done something to maybe kill off a few captive zombies? Fire, razor wire, or simply normal wire stretched across the road would have done. Or they could have sharpened hundreds of sticks and spent a few hours a day shooting them.

Sadly TWD have no access to the best anti zombie weapon of all. The WMD. Wheel of Massive Dairy.

Well, the casting bill's going to be quite a bit smaller next episode.

Now the latest episode is a damn fine one IMHO and although it doesn't move the show forward it really fleshes out a character beautifully.

Nice to see the strapless bra added to the list of sensible post-apocalyptic attire!

The amount of independent groups all operating in the same tiny area of wilderness is pushing my suspension of disbelief to its limit.

I also noticed the long-standing theme of choosing to do incredibly stupid things is still going strong.

I'm very close to giving up on this. The amount of stupid actions taken by everyone involved leads me to believe that none of them should have survived their first encounter with a zombie.

I also greatly dislike characters who can forget about their children for a whole zombie attack.
