Just watched the pilot episode of this series and recommend it. The lead is the same Character from Red Dragon played by Edward Norton.

Going to watch this with the gf some day, not sure if we are going to wait until a couple of episodes are out however. We also need subs, because the gf sucks.

You know what? "Kilowatt-hours per sol" is a pain in the ass to say. I'm gonna invent a new scientific unit name.
One kilowatt-hour per sol is... it can be anything.. um...I suck at this ... oh FK it. I'll call it a "pirate-ninja".
All told, the Big Three need 69.9pn, most of that going to the Oxygenator and Atmospheric regulator."

I'll just warn you now, eat and leave a considerable amount of time if your stomach cannot handle it before watching Episode 2. I love it thus far.

I'm liking it thus far and I love that each episode does not need to be full on, the character building in episodes is great without the need to be death every 5 minutes like most tv programs. I look forward t more of this and to see how Hannibal gets into his head.

If you have seen Red Dragon there's no spoilers

Once they find out Dr Lecter is a serial killer will it be something they can stretch out over 1-2 seasons? I've never read any of the Hannibal stuff so i'm not sure how Graham caught him or how long it took.

and after he was caught did Lecter ever help out with other cases aside from the ones shown in the movies, The Red Dragon case was the first one i think, maybe they can make up some other cases he helped graham with before he meets Clarice or add a new female lead and continue with Clarice. I'm hoping they don't just end the show with his capture, saying that though if they continue it might get in the way of future movies so it's probably unlikely :|

I've seen them and read the books so I know what will happen but you can lead up to it differently somewhat in this tv series and so far I'm liking it!

I read somewhere that the production team wants to do seven seasons, with the fourth season telling the Red Dragon story, fifth season Hannibal, etc.

Can't remember how official that was though.

Well with how Season 2 opens I assume that is the final episode of Season 2 so I'd like to see how they play that one off - been awhile since I've seen the movies/books but I do know somewhat of what happens so should be good. Definitely a good start to the season compared to some of season 1.

I'm loving this show but i wish they would create more scenes of Hannibal with his victims and show how he catches them etc, might be a little too dark for this kind of show but it worked well in Dexter. For the most part the bodies just show up and we never really see the real Hannibal.

The scene with Gideon at the dinner table was epic, more scenes like that would be great

The latest episode seems to have gone off the rails, canon-wise, a tad!

Have only seen the first episode of the second season so far, after really liking the first season. It was alright. Hopefully it won't dip any more and suffer from second season syndrome!
