Well no more waiting.

Hmm. I like the new additions but it still meanders a bit and Dorian needs to be actually given more story and less jumping on anything that moves.

I spotted whom his latest conquest was easily. I think he looks better as a guy TBH. Would you ask DG to look after your cat or do you think....

liked the first season and was really looking forward to the second. so far, 2 episodes in, it's been pretty meh though. unless something happens in the third to grab me back i might pass on the fourth. i'm getting too old to waste my time on style over substance progs.

It's latest was more back story for the lead female character and as I've said I like seeing good drama for actresses so thoroughly enjoyed it. It can be a frustrating series at times though.

I love the look, cast and music. I just wish they would tighten things up a but and push the plot forward more.

Eva Green (Vanessa Ives) is really making this for me despite the plot still being loose I find her fascinating to watch as she can shift from vulnerable waif to hissing harpy so easily.

The latest episode could be responsible for a few heart palpitations due to some seriously large dollops of sex.

Still a bit frustrating as I don't quite see where Dorian fits in. Pardon the expression.

also, those witches too! for one night with them, in any form, they can have my soul ...even helen mccrory :P

i'm sure dorian will end up being relevent, or, maybe they're just keeping him in contract as he's pretty likeable. it is odd he's got his own, independant, storyline.
speaking of, i do like that new guy ferdinand lyle. he adds some moments of humour.

Hmm. Good solid stuff and the witches make great villains. Now something occurs to me which I shall spoiler in case I'm right.

In the Scottish play the quote is "evil frequently wears a pretty cloak" and I wonder if simply because the actor is so charming it blinds people to the truth is that Dorian may not only be a villain but THE villain. He's amoral, murderous and immortal considering people to be nothing more than playthings to be discarded when he's bored. Is Dorian the fallen angel?

well that was a good ending!
i really hope they can encourage everyone to return if a 3rd, which would seem likely, is made.

it does seem, by the way it ended, they have left it extremely open for people to leave or return. the major players all going off seprately and on their own. the only two really pairing off were dorian and ms frankenstien.

I think I watched the majority of season one and stopped due to real life issues. Is this worth re watching from the start again? I did like what I watched and felt it was quite unique in the way they presented the show and now like everything else that is similar to the genre.

It has some weak parts but remains strong over all and although linked Season 2 actually doesn't need much from season 1 to watch. It fills out more of the back story of various characters with a major focus on Vanessa. The main villains in the form of the witches are excellent and it's good to see a Dorian Gray as decadent as his literary origin.
