I dont think he will. He is the best spinner we have.

India have controversially cancelled their tour to pakistan next month.

2nd highest run chase ever wasnt it

I saw the highlights of de villiers knock, for a 24 year old that lad is amazing, will be around for ages.

Australia losing their dominance :D

Flintoff and pietersen batted really well today, its a shame they both got out at the end of the day but it was always on the cards. Pretty much lost the series as soon as India put 450 odd on the board.

why isnt bokkie gloating? :P

south africa beat australia, in a test series, in australia. its the first time australia have lost a home series in my memory, im sure they did it a few times in the 80s when they were rubbish... im not happy, this is making graeme smith look good.

He should've been watching it :P
Yes, it's the first series they've lost at home since the early 90s against the Windies I believe.

On another matter, the England squad for the tour to the West Indies was announced yesterday, and there was no place for Michael Vaughan.
Doesn't look good for him resurrecting his international career.

If Australia don't improve, they could get a good pounding in England :D

I cant see england's current attack taking 20 wickets to win a test match against some of the very poor nations, let alone australia.

I agree with Shotz, out bowling attack looks very toothless, and I've been particularly unimpressed with Monty recently. As much as I like the guy, he just doesn't appear to be a match winner often enough.
Luckily, the Australia bowling attack looks just as inept as ours does.
I wonder what odds I'd be offered for 5 draws? :P

I still think the australians have match winners in their attack who can get 7for, or 8for to win a test match in a session or two.

England don't

They couldn't defend 414 on a final day pitch...
Just as bad as us in India though.

True Monty was a huge dissapointment in India, and yes, the more I think about it....
Australia still have a strong batting line up, with Hussey, Ponting and Clarke they have lots of quality.
I gues if Harmisson and Flintoff get going, and if Sidebottom recovers then we might be able to outbowl them in the pace attack.
But that's a lot of ifs

Reminds me: Bangladesh! They're really improving, in 10 years time (or less) they could be right up there with the top cricketing teams.

Brett Lee is going in for a knee operation, he will be out for 5 months.
This means that he will theoretically be reay for the ICC World20/20 but he will be short of match fitness etc
But I guess this could means he's really fired up for the Ashes, but still, he won't be fully firing I tihnk

You can't help but laugh though at the stupidity of it all...

The ECB really couldn't have given in to Pietersen here, it would have caused more problems down the line for them.
Personally I'm not too sad to see Moores leaving as well, the team have hardly been stellar in the time he's been in charge to be honest.

we're still not sure how it happened, this is the way i see it, feel free to comment or correct me.

1) kp went to the ecb and said "i can work with this bloke (moores)
2) the ecb told kp to grow up and deal with it.
3) kp thinks hes god and said that moores had to go, publicly.
4) england couldnt afford to be without kp as a batsman so they sacked moores but refused to allow KP to be all powerful (he is a 'bok afterall) so they sacked him as well.
5) it also appears that KP did not have the backing of the whole dressing room

this really jeapodise englands chances of winning in the west indies and in the summer against the aussies :(
