Had a chat with my dad while listening to that quiz game on 909 on saturday mornings about what statistician would be the most interesting to talk to, and we both said Bill Frindall.

He will be missed

Sri Lankan team attacked Yesterday... no one has talked about this?! I'm quite shocked. Sports teams are ambassadors .... it's not considered kosher to attack them. I'm glad none of them was seriously injured but it's tragic that another 8 people died

if im going to be honest i could see this coming, but i would have thought it would have been aimed at a "white" and christian cricket team if you get me.

they have proposed that the test series australia vs pakistan, will be played on neutral grond, i.e england

Islamic terrorists are unhappy with Pakistan and Sri Lanka's official status as America's allies in the war on terror.

Something like this was always likely to happen at some point, it is a massive shame that this will see the end of cricket being played in Pakistan for a while.

As Bokkie says though, Pakistan v Australia in England this summer would be quite a draw, I'd hope.

What an entertaining game! A good result too, although all the usual pessimists who follow the England team would point out that due to the earlier game decided by D-L it shouldn't have been a series decider in the first place.

Only ~90 days to The Ashes now, any thoughts?

Personally I think it could be tight, both teams are inconsistent currently, although Australia seem to be a touch better. (They beat South Africa convincingly yesterday)

Quite evenly poised, I can see this being a crucial partnership for England if they want a commanding first innings total though, as we have quite a long tail in this match.

They have picked the extra bowler, but I really cant see any promise in that attack, it looks very very second rate. All methodical plodding bowlers nothing special about them what so ever, bar Anderson who can have a few spells of genious.

They might do well in this match verses a mediocre west indies team lobbing it up outside off at 80mph, but they will struggle to get 20 wickets in the series against australia, let alone a match to win it.

A good start england, a bit lucky, fantastic fielding by Windies! hehe, jsut sat down to watch the highlights on five, its been a while!

PAHAHAHA, tht fielding was shocking, i could have caught all those drops!! Nice century by Bopara! Also why was collingwood picked if hes not been playing cricket for ages?!? i mean that spot could have been taken by someone who is on form and could have posted a better score! hmmm

Ah its nice to be watchin five cricket again, shame the cricket isnt on channel 4 anymore!!
