Yes, Brawn need to get their game together again just keep hold on to the consturctors championship - I don`t want them to throw it away now, hopefully the coming break will allow them time to sort things out.

Good to see Lewis and Kimi back up the shape end. A late charge.

All the change in the teams` fortunes should make for a great end of season battle - to the last race with a bit of luck.

Schumacher to return in place of massa until the end of the season!!!
Michael Schumacher will make a shock return to Formula 1 to replace injured Ferrari driver Felipe Massa, news agencies are reporting.

The seven-time world champion retired at the end of 2006 but has agreed to drive at the European Grand Prix.

Massa fractured his skull in Hungarian GP qualifying and may be out for the rest of the year.

Schumacher has been a team advisor but on 23 August will race an F1 car for the first time since April 2008.

I am a little surprised at this.

He may be under contract to Ferrari but he has so little to gain over doing this.

Very good news for the sport though.

Schumi cancels comeback

Seven-time world champion Michael Schumacher has called off his Formula One comeback due to injury.

Schumacher had been tempted out of retirement by Ferrari to replace Felipe Massa after the Brazilian suffered a fractured skull and brain concussion at the Hungarian Grand Prix.

However Schumacher has now admitted that a neck injury, caused by a bike accident, will prevent him making a remarkable comeback to the sport.

Speaking on his official website, the 40-year-old confirmed: "Yesterday evening, I had to inform Ferrari president Luca di Montezemolo and team principal Stefano Domenicali that unfortunately I'm not able to step in for Felipe.

Disappointed
"I really tried everything to make that temporary comeback possible, however, much to my regret it didn't work out.

"Unfortunately we did not manage to get a grip on the pain in the neck which occurred after the private F1-day in Mugello, even if medically or therapeutically we tried everything possible."

Schumacher suffered "fractures in the area of head and neck" in the accident in February.

And the German driver admitted that he had been left disappointed by the fact he will now not be able to race.

"I am disappointed to the core," he said.

"I am awfully sorry for the guys of Ferrari and for all the fans which crossed fingers for me. I can only repeat that I tried everything that was within my power."

Motivation
Ferrari president Luca di Montezemolo admitted he was saddened by the news but was full of praise of Schumacher's efforts to return.

"I am very unhappy that a problem means that Michael cannot return to racing," Montezemolo said.

"In the past few days, I could appreciate his great efforts and extraordinary motivation which had spread through the team and fans around the world.

"No doubt his return would have been good for Formula One and I am sure it would have seen him fighting for wins again.

"In the name of Ferrari and all the fans, I wish to thank him for the strong attachment he displayed for the team in these circumstances."
