That's awesome, you cycle at insane speed with those. Atleast when you get up a good pace you can use keep it rather easy. Good buy imo, just make sure noone steal it !

Hope you don't mind asking, but how much did you pay for (including the building cost's)?
And nice little bike, although I wouldn't be able to ride it myself. I like my bikes with suspension (Front and Back) unless its a BMX ofc..

it was £260 for the bike, the build was free, and i paid £25 for some good beam lights and £15 for the bike lock.

I agree suspension is better but it makes the bike much harder to ride, and slower, you can ride this bike so easily and so fast its amazing, going up hills is a breeze compared with my old mountain bike

Wow. Just £260? It looked more expensive then that to be honest. Also did you buy it on day 1 and get it built and ready for you for the next day?
I've never ridden a bike without suspension, I think it be too uncomfortable, Plus I reckon makes bikes LOOK crappier and less MANLY, but that's just me. Also, I think people seeing a tubby guy on a bike riding about would be the funniest thing people have seen for a while...
Also, I have a car. Car makes me a lazy sod. Every journey unless I'm in a saving money mood is a car trip, Even if its a 5 min walk.
But good luck with your bike, Hope you enjoy the bike and the fun you'll get out of it :3

not used a racer for years but they are fast, i use my dads mountain bike for road cycling just inflate the nobbly tyres to 50 odd psi dididididid, Deathtaker your expectations of the price of motoring are inflated you can get many a reliable car for a grand or less, well you going to pay a bit for your insurance in the first few years i didnt bother went as a named driver under one of my parents till i was 19 then started my own policy since my insurance quotes had fell from 1.5kmin to about 700 which i found exceptable.

Late to the party....sorry.

Love road bikes and have looked at this one in the Shoreham Halfords a few times now. FWIW you can get a 20% discount for building it at home and taking away the packaged bike on the day - did it with my daughter's new Carrera. Road bikes with no girly suspension are the way to go.

Want to get back on my road bike, sadly a little scared to do so.

The question I have to ask is can you do South Street onto Mile Oak Road without standing up (or getting off), or do you wimp out onto Valley Road? :P
Sarah says: I am indeed, enjoying the big willy so to speak!

Fede said: oh col, gotta tell you this, i had a dream, and you were in it as a mexican wrestler, fully tatooed and with an awesome costume :D
