Finding a garage

Postby bigbmxdave on Tue Jan 19, 2010 1:44 pm

I remember hearing about a website a while ago where you type in the work you want doing any it can be seen by lots of local traders who then can give you a qoute. Car repairs was one of the services on it but it also did things like plumbing and electrical work. Anyone know what this website is?

in my experience those websites are a sham...

most garages quote their work from a big book which tells how long it takes to do x, y and z..

maybe you could find someone who has access to this book.

ive rang 8 garages. Not got anything sensible from anyone.
Most of them say they either cant or wont do my car.
One hasn't answered their phone in ages
and one guy did say he'll ring me back with a quote seems to have forgotten about it.

I want to die peacefully in my sleep like my grandad
not screaming in terror like the passengers in his car.
