i played fm08 loads, and didnt need to patch once, the only thing which was slightly irritating was the amount of goals from corners that got disallowed, but as soon as i had quality corner takers and players who heas the ball well then the goals stood.

The demo for 09 is disappointing with the crashing etc tried it twice and gave up as azzu had the exact same problem. i didnt want to ruin it b4 the actual game came out. I managed to pre order the game from play when it was £20, think its £25 now (or last time i saw anyway)

I played a bit of the demo, it didn't crash on me.
Its looking good!

Oh, and I didn't have any problems with 08 even without a patch.

Game crashed and it f'ed up my gfx card(think it was on brink of breaking anyway) So my new gfx card should be arriving 2moro so ill try give the game another bash!

The bit i played up until was really good so looking forward to it.

Well I bought this at 11pm last night and have been playing up until now bed time though.

Loving it although 3D match engine keeps crashing my game so I need to have it disabled, don't really care to be fair. I started as Newcastle and well struggling like hell scraping through games on occasions.

I am getting really peed off with the amount of 35 - 40 yard goals though, I mean this never happened in FM08, well rarely. Also the amount of games I finish with an injured player is beyond a joke >.<

During the demo I noticed a lot of injuries for mine and the opposition team as well. At one point I had no strikers except from the under 18's fit.

I have no problems with the 3d match engine. Strange. The shots from 35/40 yards are awesome in the 3D match engine though. I told all my midfielders to take more long shots and they were flying in.

Am not too fussed about 3D match engine as I like the old style.

Pre-ordered this off steam last week got home now wanting to play, so get the acitvation code enter it says it "can't connect to the internet" so basically I can't play it really pissed off

Not sure what you mean by activation code. Steam installed it and let me play straight away.

I believe Steam is auto updating FM09 with patches.

Half way through my second season. You will be happy to know that Chelsea and Man City seem to be racing to sign better players, meaning you can get their first purchases half price because they are unhappy and want first team football. I have beaten Man City and Chelsea for signing 2 players who are integral in keeping me in a game and I enjoy rejecting 20 and 30 million pound bids for these players now.

May try and start with my home town team Scarborough, see what damage I can do

Azzy, thats where these games actually come in to play. there's nothing more satisfying than taking a lower league/non league team to the top. does take a long time but its an amazing feeling when it all goes good.

See that is where I see it differently. I play Newcastle because you can never win anything within a few seasons. But all I care about is finding players, then looking for them in real life games, to see if they compare. Like when I found Tevez on Champ man and a few years later everyone is ranting and raving about him. Just like to find out which "obviously not the comp generated ones" players are like they are in game. Then hope your own team go ahead and win.

and alot of young talent, i done an arsene and playedmy tyouth team in the carling cup 2nd round and they smashed exeter 4-0. its actually the best ive seen one of my teams play lol.

Havent had injury problems, or the long distance goals or the time, apart from the occasional crash its been fine, just make sure you save it regular so you dont have to go back loads
