Sigh. I almost went for the ARMA 2 40% sale, but then I remember that the DayZ thing is coming out as a standalone game in September anyway. And I'm not interested in ARMA itself.

Steam sale ends soon (I think there's one more set of daily deals to come) so thought I'd post my opinions on afew games I bought:

Blood Bowl: Lengendary Edition - was frustratingly difficult at first, but after that hump it got quite addictive. Wish the Campaign mode was more engaging though.
Anno 2070 - Seems a really good city builder type game, but unfortunately I keep getting "program stopped responding" crashes 15-20 mins after launch.
Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit - Cops and Racers car chases. So obviously it's fun.
Civiliazation V - Hadn't played a Civ game since Civ 2, but like that game it keeps me hooked. Buy this if you have even a remote interest in strategy games (just don't trust Ghandi!).
Just Cause 2 - Haven't played this on PC yet, but I already own it on 360 (I got the PC version because of the new multiplayer mod being made). There's no reason not to get this at a discount price - good game.
Solar 2 - Kind of fun, but very simple. Very much a pick up and play for 10-20 minutes kind of game.
Worms: Reloaded - It's Worms, and it's a good version. Worth picking up.
Legends of Grimrock - Played a couple hours of this and it seems great. Still getting to grips with some of the UI choices, but enjoying it.
Company of Heroes/CH:OF/CH:ToV - excellent WW2 strategy game. Plays just like the first Warhammer 40K: Dawn of War game, which makes alot of sense since it's by the same developers.

I also bought these but haven't played them yet:
Driver: San Francisco
E.Y.E: Divine Cybermancy
Fallout: New Vegas
From Dust
Hacker Evolution: Duality
Half Life 2/Episode One/Episode Two (and no, I really haven't owned any of these until now :silent:)
Plants vs Zombies: GotY Edition
Portal 2
Tropico 4
Warhammer 40k: Space Marine
The Witcher 2

Half Life 2 is IMHO an essential experience but Ravenholm must be played after dark with the lights down.

Actually that was the cheapest sale ever for me as I only bought one budget game for £1.99. Makes a change from last year.

I imagine most people will spot this but just in case I'll say don't buy Titan Quest as you can get Titan Quest Gold for the exact same price which includes the Immortal Throne add on. It's a fun but buggy Diablo 2 style game with ragdoll physics and plenty to do with some nice mods available.

I have no idea why but I seem to have gained a 75% off coupon for Portal 2. As I already own this it's of no use to me so I'll give it to anybody who wants it.

In terms of hilarity you should check out people trying to sell them on steams trading forums for about the value of the actual discount they give you. There's even one confused soul trying to get more than it costs you to just buy the game without the coupon.
