Well it isn't displaying on play.com so I don't think it is due for release at the same time....

No real reason to not release it at the same time.

The new expansion trailer made me cream and shiver at same time its so fu**king awesome. 200 hours playing dragon age now with 5 differenter characters and I still can't stop playing escepially with all the custom stuff pouring out. Custom shape-shifting makes it so epic because you can be a orge or the almighty arch-demon.

Custom stuff is PC only right? I'm starting to change my mind about a second play through. Release of ME2 is out, then Splinter Cell and there is still Darksiders to play!!

Thought I´d made a reminder to all of those who play the game: The Awakening is being released next week! :D I´m so ready for this, already pre-ordered it. Bioware has also revealed some new stuff for example new characters and new places. More details here : http://dragonage.bioware.com/awakening/

Bah! I want this so much, but I have a pile of work (mmm, rocks...) and other costs to consider; yay for students
Still, it does look very good and if it's even half as good as the original DA, it will be superb
Reckon I'll wait for Just Cause 2 as my game for the spring though.

And yay, 500th post.

Got a few hours in today and first off it runs pleasingly well on my aging PC.
Also it's hard, man. Maybe I'm just way out of practice with this sort of RPG. The Witcher was the last "classic" style RPG and before that the Bethesda games.
It has definitely grabbed me though.

I'm studying geophysics, so basically all of my work revolves around rocks at present. At the moment; looking at seismic data, writing scripts to show geological maps/profiles, tectonics, and petrology so literally just looking at rocks under a microscope.

But on topic, that new Justice character looks pretty good. Damn I want this game, Bioware possibly top Valve in terms of enjoyment I get form their games

Will I like this game? I'm not realyl into the fantasy stuff, but I've extremely enjoyed Mass Effect 1 and 2, probably my favourite games to date ahead of Fallout 3! - £20, is it a steal? (or £15 on amazon)

It is fantasy in the sense that you have mages and spells and various otherworldly creatures, however it is more customizable than ME1/2 and has a long gripping story.

Looking forward to get this, but think im going to wait a little bit. Heard it was slightly buggy?
"The rover batteries have 18kwh of juice. The oxygenator alone uses 44.1kwh per sol. See my problem?
You know what? "Kilowatt-hours per sol" is a pain in the ass to say. I'm gonna invent a new scientific unit name.
One kilowatt-hour per sol is... it can be anything.. um...I suck at this ... oh FK it. I'll call it a "pirate-ninja".
All told, the Big Three need 69.9pn, most of that going to the Oxygenator and Atmospheric regulator."

DA:O isn't run and gun like Fallout 3 and ME are, best way I can think to describe it is KotOR's combat system

So far I havent noticed anything buggy, but we´ll see how it turns up when going towards the ending. Dunno if its a bug, but some DLC stuff isnt in Awakening, like Starfang.

If nobody has made a rogue yet you should. Put no stats in str/wis or con. Put 30 into cun and put rest into dex

you should end up with 80-90% dodge , 95% hit and 60-70 damage per backstab can solo any group or elite on nightmare mid-late game and even most bosses.

I agree. My first character was a Dalish Rogue  I did put some stats into strength though I think just so I could wield some better equipment.
Seems to be the way I go in most games, but it makes you nigh on unstoppable in DA:O :D
