Empire Earth is good, the team that made it was led by the guy that made AoE, and spans the whole timeline of people from the stone age to the future. Very customisable and loads of technologies/units. EE2 is coming out soon so it should be cheap by now.

Finally a person who truely knows what I mean by Strategy :D

Nah just joking, I have looked into everyone else's choices but this is by FAR the best. I love age of empires and the EE2 Looks just outstanding!

How about Command and Conquer Tiberian Sun. Its a little old now but its still quite entertaining

not a hope :D i'll be practicing on EE and AoE2 before it comes out. one of my m8s plays it all the time and won't have internet for the next few months so i'll get dragged into constant lan games. i'll take pleasure in guttin you, boy 8)

Empire Earth is a fantastic game, but bloody hell is it time consuming, much more so then any other i know (bar total war games). computer has the unbelievable ability to seem utterly crushed and 20 mins later be a threat again :/

cant wait for EE2

Playin' Lord of the Rings : Batlle for Middle Earth at the moment. Takes quite a bit of stategy and the fun part is : The game is much more concentrated on the battles instead of mining resources :)

Rise of nations is cool cos of its diplomacy. espiecally when ur playing with mates or on a lan party or something.

Chavs, i know ur scottish and all, but still, u need to get Rome:Total war.
I also loved AoE and EE, and i am cacking myself with excitment about EE2. 8)

Geeze weetabix, you know too much!

Nice one! I'll look into that aswell, though I have to say mythology was pretty mince as was AoE 2.

or warcraft 3 and the frozen throne that was a bit of fun
home world 2 this is a very good game
star trek armada & armada2
the total war seres
and neius the jupiter incident is an ok, it's sort of odd thouw.
