I'm not so keen on the part that says it will be a "full-price retail release". The original Portal was an Orange Box bargain; one small game in a pack that included Team Fortress 2 and HL/HL2 episode 1 and 2. Portal 2 will have to be very good and substantially longer to justify a higher price, I reckon.

And I doubt they will be able to top Still Alive, the best ending to a video game ever, ever.

Portal will be a full game with a full team, and i not an expirment like Portal (1)
That's it's fullpriced is a bummer, but IMAGINE the POSSIBILITIES of a FULL SEQUEL!

I would assume that Portal 2 will be a longer game than the first.

With the orange box make note that you were getting 1 old full game which can be around £4 in shops now, EP1 which is known to be "meh" and short, Portal which was VERY good but also short (not that it's a bad thing) and also had a sequel set up to it and TF2 an online only game...

Now I would assume that Portal 2 would be a full size lengthy game, much like HL2, Valve are taking a huuuuuuuuge risk with it being full price and they are fully aware of the critical acclaim and cult following of the first one.

Have faith, this is valve, they followed up HL1 with HL2 and that was fantastic, HL2:EP1 was "meh" but they came back strong with the Orange box and EP2.

Pray for Valve to deliver the epic!

It might be longer, but the gameplay would have to be evolutionary at least to keep my interest that long I think. If they have a good enough story and the puzzles are interesting enough and not too difficult, maybe. I'll keep an eye on the updates with interest though, because I loved Portal.

True, Portal 2 has been confirmed months ago.
Only now eveyone is hyped and excited due to the Portal Update(s) (radios new ending) and the ARG going on.
