Wasn't expecting this at all! The Sony conference was pretty boring when I was watching and I eventually gave up and went to asda with my fiancé, then I came back to hear this had been announced! I think I would quite enjoy playing portal on the ps3

I tried to play the game the paint stuff is based on (same guys as did Narbucula Drop) but the graphcis were messed up so I couldn't play it
Still, Portal 2 looks bloody fantastic though.

I wonder if this means I could be playing Portal on my PS3, and chatting to the UKCS'ers that are playing on the pc. If so, That would be flipping amazing
Also, Is this just an Exclusive to PS3 and PC atm? Or is Xbox getting part of the pie too just not the steam works stuff?

PC, OS X, Xbox 360 (already known before e3 ) and now ps3.
Gabe said theyre bringing steam to ps3 making it the best console version so I assume it wont be happening on xbox360.
But Gabe really said it like he was suffering

There's really only one logical reason they are doing the steam thing: patches.
If Valve have their own infrastructure in place on the PS3, they can push out updates without the need to go through Sony's certification process, updating from Valves content servers, probably for free.
That's why TF2 on xbox is never updated, MS want money for it.

PC, always and forever for me. Playing an FPS with a controller still doesn't feel natural (or as accurate) to me.

They probably won't show spoilers that ruin the story before its out, I got even more excited about Fallout 3 when I saw its gameplay video's,
