It is not letting me apply, saying 'unable to apply with current selected solider'. It could be because I am playing on XBOX rather then PC.
Anyone else having this problem?

Mmm, not heard of that so far. I guess you are correct though. Everyone so far has been a PC player unless I am mistaken.

What exactly is the point of the platoon? After 10+ hours played I've seen no in game integration.

What's worse is that you can't seems to see what your battlefield 3 friends are doing only your origin friend, quite annoying.
