Reason: Changed back to multi, XBOX ONE and PS4 will have this as well.

It's a PC only title, not multi as the thread suggests.

With Heroes of the Storm heading in to battle against League and DotA, it seems Blizzard have turned their guns to Valve and are now going after the Team Fortress 2 fanbase.

TL;DR- Game needs more hats.

It's more a hit on Smite than TF2, in my opinion.

Also, I am GETTING THIS GOD DAMN GAME.

I saw it, and was interested but ... servers! I know there wont be dedicated servers for it but man it would be nice to have a TF2 like game AND hosted on our fave community servers.

I wonder if it will be F2P style ? I kind of hope so as paid for titles have that huge DLC chain and ball hanging on them these days... map packs, DLC modes, get the toys for cash systems...etc etc.
At least a F2P system wont sell maps and modes, just classes and skins (I hope).

Bought TF 2 and was in the beta for it, it was the game that made me join UKCS though I did play CS:S on UKCS servers before that but didnt bother with the community much :P

TF 2 didnt have any pay for DLC, so it lasted for a looooooong time before I got tired of it, and also tired of all the new stuff that took away much of the original fun for me personally, for most it gave even more fun with the updates but I am happy enough... got more than my moneys worth by miles.

This Overwatch seems interesting, sort of like TF 2 vanilla but if its a pay for title it will end up having DLC (Activision, remember...expansions and DLC up the wazoo), as a F2P you get all the game parts free just need to grind for stuff.

Considering the kind of game it is, it's likely to be free to play with paid content for cosmetics.

In regards to no servers, I don't think that'll be an issue for the kind of game it is.

Certainly looks like an interesting game, looks like it is taking tf2 as a template but expanding it further. I have signed up for the beta so will wait and see - would be good if they allowed Public servers as well.

Having just watched the gameplay trailer I can say that I don't like the look of this game.

To me it feels like Michael Bay took the original TF2 and did a 'Transformers' on it.

Far too much happening on the screen for me and it has a plethora of primary colours whizzing all over the place.

Highly doubt that I will go for this.

Weird, I always thought TF2 is what would happen if Michael Bay got hold of Quake...

So, the closed beta started again. I've been playing on a friends account to about level 15-16.

Since the previous weekend beta, they have added loads of new customizations to every character. As well as really great nerfs and buffs for some needing heroes.

For each player profile level you acquire a "loot box". The loot box is free to open and contains items ranging from Common, Rare, Epic and Legendary. These items can be skins, sprays, highlight intros, victory poses or gold coins you can spend on said items.

You also have the hero collection where you can see the progression over your unlocks for each hero.

So far, really fun game and I urge everyone to try it if they enjoy TF2 / Smite. It's a refreshing experience.

I was lucky enough to get into the 1st beta for it so have been given access to this one as well. Not had time to play it yet due to this, that and the next thing but I enjoyed my time in the 1st beta that I decided to pre-purchase it. I'm generally not a fan of doing that as I prefer to get a feel for the game or read reviews about it before deciding whether or not I really want to splash the cash on a game. But the beta gave me a good feel for the game which I enjoyed so I saw no reason not to pre-purchase it

I got into the beta in January and i'm loving the game although I haven't played in the last 2/3 weeks but half of my play time has been spent solo and half with people iv'e met in the beta and it's just as fun either way.

I did also dabble in some comp play in weekly tournaments which I enjoyed and it's good to see the games comp scene starting to develop and grow already. I have high hopes for this game moving forward!

Finally got back into the game after months of not playing it. Let's just say my girlfriend and me are both extremely chatty so it's a wonder I get any gaming done. Had a go on one of the new maps where it is essentially just payload from TF2 but more fast paced and no Engie nests to deal with. Well if there was I didn't see any which was good as it meant that there was a nice flow to the map. Also forgot how much I liked Reinhardt who is just such good fun to play as. Think my whole team commended me for the amount of damage that I blocked and I got a couple of double kills in the process.
Overall it's still good fun
