You should go see This Town Needs Guns, you might like them if you like Foals. Arcade Fire are skipping Newcastle, I can't wait until I finish uni and move to a major city..

Heidenfest last night! <3 love it, Heidevolk were brilliant, great start to the night. Swashbuckle were lame, they were more entertaining when they weren't actually playing and doing other silly things, Equilibrium were brilliant also, Ensiferum were amazing ^_^ Highlight of the night for me, even though I'm a wuss and spent the whole time they were performing grabbing onto random people to avoid being dragged into the mosh pit and being crushed. I actually really enjoyed The Twilight of the Gods tribute band, despite the singer being quite off most of the time (more like all of the time), £25 well spent!!!

Also saw Blind Guardian (one of my favourite bands) last Monday which was most amazingly magical. :D <3 Was 2nd row, the drums seemed too loud sometimes but apart from that it was perfect, and the crowd was great. Loved every song they played but particularly enjoyed them playing Valhalla, Time Stands Still, The Bard's Song, The Wheel of Time, Nightfall, Imaginations from the Other Side and Welcome to Dying.
Steelwing, an 80s style heavy metal band from Sweden were supporting who I enjoyed.

Here's everyone singing along to the Bard's Song:

Edit: Not my video but I was probably only a meter or 2 to the right of whoever took it :P

Need to decide on what I'm seeing next now...could possibly be Motörhead in November.

Bowling For Soup were amazing!
Such good entertainers as well!
Acoustic tour next year and then the same tour again in October next year, score!

Had a good support band that most people seemed to know, I didn't "Forever the Sickest Kids" = Really good! Touring the UK next year, would recomend taking a gander!
Had some dodgy support band called "A" from London. = Dire!
Another really bad support band "The Dollyrots" = shudder

Saw Motörhead in Manchester (Apollo) last night! Just to see Lemmy with my own eyes was incredibly awesome and Motörhead themselves were amazing! The sound quality was reasonable, much better than some other concerts I've been to, They play plenty of my favourites, although I was a little disappointed that they never played anything from the Orgasmatron album :( Phil Campbell handed his beer to someone in the audience which I thought was nice :P It Was good to see a show in Manchester rather than London for a change, the place had a great atmosphere but quite a few people were jumped on by security even before any of the support acts had been on yet :P I would definitely see Motörhead again :D

Skew Sisken and Michael Monroe were supporting, I will definitely check out their music some time as I enjoyed both of them.

EDIT: Found a video of Overkill someone took right behind us :D
