Saw Motörhead in Manchester (Apollo) last night! Just to see Lemmy with my own eyes was incredibly awesome and Motörhead themselves were amazing! The sound quality was reasonable, much better than some other concerts I've been to, They play plenty of my favourites, although I was a little disappointed that they never played anything from the Orgasmatron album :( Phil Campbell handed his beer to someone in the audience which I thought was nice :P It Was good to see a show in Manchester rather than London for a change, the place had a great atmosphere but quite a few people were jumped on by security even before any of the support acts had been on yet :P I would definitely see Motörhead again :D

Skew Sisken and Michael Monroe were supporting, I will definitely check out their music some time as I enjoyed both of them.

EDIT: Found a video of Overkill someone took right behind us :D

That's quite a list, Sec!!

Not including festivals:

Slow Club (x2)
Noah and the Whale (x2, plus one next month!)
They Might Be Giants (x3)
James
Pigeon Detectives (Supported James. Did not like.)
Mumford and Sons
Johnny Flynn and the Sussex Wit
Cloud Control
Wombats
Barenaked Ladies
Boothby Graffoe (x2)

I'm probably forgetting a bunch of stuff...

I also saw Take That and The Coors when I was too young to know better!

Plus a bunch of local/upcoming bands no one will have heard of!

Some festival highlights I've seen include Rufus Wainwright, Paolo Nutini, Frank Turner, and Treetop Flyers.

not a fan of festivals and i've not been to many concerts. though i have seen quite a few headline acts at clubs/all-nighters back in the day:
notable mentions
prodigy (best thing i've ever seen live)
SL2
ragga twins
ratpack
carl craig (live set)
laurent garnier (live set)
derrik may (live set)
curtis jones. cajmere/green velvet (live set, crazy mad stuff)
moby (NYE live set, edinburgh castle.)
m-people (only because of my heather small fetish :o )
moloko (likewise, i really had a thing for róisín murphy. the music was so so :P )
...lots more, but, i think you get the idea.
way too many famous DJ's, to even bother mention, playing stuff from hip-hop, funk/jazz/world music, deep house/garage, techno, trance, breakbeat, jungle, dnb, all sorts of styles. they're pretty much concerts really...

actual concerts, most of which i was talked into it by a g.f. or mate. latest first:
jay-z (although i don't mind his stuff too much it was a cr4p performance.. memphis bleak put more effort into it than him. dragged to by a mate)
red snapper (an ex)
lamb (ex)
libertines (another ex)
brian molko (ex, guess im easily p-whipped  )
the pixies (ex, sigh...)
some other reformed old-school famous american indie-punk rock band i cant remember the name of (ex)
oasis (pre major fame days at King Tuts, Glasgow. fluked, my mate felt like a live music event. was pretty awesome though)
inspiral carpets (chummed mate)
stone roses (the only BIG concert i've been to that i actually wanted to go. superb, was in their hey-day. clubbing/raves took over live concerts not long after this)
i think that's it?! if there's any more, i can't think of them.

Wow Security, I'm jealous of your list you've seen some great bands, I've never been to a festival so my list isn't too big (I only included support acts if I had heard of them before the show):

Iron Maiden x3
Judas Priest
Motorhead
Slough Feg
Manowar
The Devin Townsend Project
Solstice
Grand Magus x 2
Blind Guardian
Alestorm
Turisas x2
Finntroll
Ensiferum
Heidevolk
Equilibrium
Opeth
Cathedral
Crimfall
Twilight of the Gods (Bathory Tribute)

this is what I've roughly seen in the last 2 years, no plans to see any shows this year so far, I would like to see Primordial and Black Sabbath but due to lack of people to go with I probably won't :|

Not including festivals.

Extreme (Sheffield Arena)
Bon Jovi (x3 Sheffield Arena, Cardiff & Old Wembley)
Nine Inch Nails (Manchester)
Silverchair (Nottingham)
Lionel Richie (with the wife, Sheffield Arena)
Arctic Monkeys (lots of times before they hit the big time, just once since when they did a special secret gig in Barnsley)

Festival highlights are:

Metallica (who were bloody loud! They turned on more speakers for their performance, Reading 97)
Terrorvision (Reading 96 & 97)
Black Sabbath (Ozzfest)
Rage against the machine (Reading 96)
Marylin Manson (Reading)
Offspring (Reading)
Manic Street Preachers (who were absolutely awesome, Reading)
Nine Inch Nails (Glasto 2000)
David Bowie (Glasto 2000)

Ive seen a lot more at festivals but they were my faves.
But I'm feeling good, And if you don't exist, you're still one illusion that I can't resist

i've seen loads of bands, but i dont really do gigs anymore. i'm not really into much new music at the moment and i'm not interested in seeing reformed bands. i am going to see the cribs soon though.

My list of big(ish) bands:

- Oasis x2
- Kasbian x3ish?
- Arctic Monkeys
- RHCP x2 (wish i'd seen them circa 1990)
- Audioslave
- Reverend and the makers x.lots
- Foo Fighters x2
- Biffy clyro x3
- Supergrass
- Feeder
- The Coral x2/3ish
- Jimmy Eat World

I can't do festivals because they clash with the cricket season :P these are all gigs, although one or two of those bands were supporting other bands on the list. I've missed a few, but i think i've remembered the bigger bands
- Tenacious D
- The Cooper Temple Clause
- The Music
- Paul Weller
- Skindred
