Relaxing Music

Postby um!!! on Sun Feb 06, 2011 8:19 pm

Well, i got this mood at the moment!
I need some music to relaxing my mind, stuff which isnt 'boom, bang, *drum roll*' kind of stuff

Things like, snow patrol

So yea! :)

Much different to Snow Patrol I guess (never listened myself), but;
I find Mike Oldfield very good for relaxing. Try Hergest Ridge in particular.

As for individual songs; Ceremony is also a very relaxing song I find; try the New Order one over the original Joy Division though and then Temptation by New Order, similar song. Opus; Live is Life is just very happy.

My taste in music isn't exactly Snow Patrol but I hope that helps.

Given his very recent sad passing, I give you Gary Moore -

One of the greatest blues/rock guitarists I've ever heard. RIP. :(

(Not exactly Snow Patrol, just 10000000000x better...)

How about something a little more... electronic?

Or maybe something less, the guy plays it on a 13 string bass:

That it may be, but it also one of the greatest songs ever, by one of the greatest bands ever :cheers:

More on topic, there's allways this which I find very relaxing (ignore the actual video, it was the only one with the voice rather than piano);

Probably a little creepy but don't knock it until you've tried it I say!

Currently have problems sleeping, never get to sleep until 2-3 am tops and 'Whisper' Videos on youtube do the trick for me. Lie down, put the headphones on, close your eyes and relax!

Softly spoken videos relax me as well.

I find this incredibly relaxing:

Susanne Sunfør

Blue Sky Black Death

As for the Elena Kats -Lloyds advert thing. I prefer metaphi's dubstep version of the song tbh.

"The rover batteries have 18kwh of juice. The oxygenator alone uses 44.1kwh per sol. See my problem?
You know what? "Kilowatt-hours per sol" is a pain in the ass to say. I'm gonna invent a new scientific unit name.
One kilowatt-hour per sol is... it can be anything.. um...I suck at this ... oh FK it. I'll call it a "pirate-ninja".
All told, the Big Three need 69.9pn, most of that going to the Oxygenator and Atmospheric regulator."

ha! one more thing!
an really awesome song from an austrian band! It`s austrian dialect at its best (I'm German and I barely understand anything!)
If you are interested in the lyrics let me know, maybe I can translate ;)
