Your favourite album?

Postby Gh0st.IRE on Sat Dec 01, 2012 9:27 pm

So you've got to listen to one album and one album only, what one would it be?

I think mine might be Muse's Black Holes and Revelations. Freakin' love that from start to finish.

The Prodigy - Experience

This gets me hyped up to conquer anything one needs to do, even the bad stuff oddly =\
No. I am not a nice man. It's important that you understand that. It's going to save you a great deal of time and effort. There is not a warmer, kinder me waiting to be coaxed out into the light. I am acerbic. I can be cruel. It's who I am. Right to the bottom. I'm neither proud of this, nor ashamed of it. It simply is. And in my work, my nature has been an advantage far more often than it has been a hindrance. I'm not gonna change.

Hm... I can't pick one :( Right now it would probably be Nick Drake's "Pink Moon", but the top spot can usually go to anyone from Pink Floyd & Radiohead, to The Small Faces or Bob Dylan.

If it was something I'd have to listen to over & over again, it would probably be a collection of Field's or Chopin's Nocturnes.

Hmm, Probably Pink Floyd - The Wall. Very tough choice though.

Bloody difficult to pick just one. Maybe this one:

Probably Endtroducing by DJ Shadow, but it's near impossible to choose just one album.

If forced to pick one, I think it might be Spirit of Eden by Talk Talk. Such an influential album yet so un-noticed or derided by the mainstream of music back in 1988.

A masterclass in the use of silence and harmonics as instruments. Get a copy & listen in a dark room on headphones, then just float off on the aural experience.

A close second perhaps.... Floyd's Wall, DSOM or Final Cut (tied)

More modern.... Frank Turner - England Keep My Bones
