I don't think I could live with an install that annoyingly complicated and convoluted :(

I started on Ubuntu 8.xx and I learnt how to use it with in two weeks, an started doing all sorts of fun stuff :)

Now I run Ubuntu 9.10 and I can do almost anything I wan't now on Linux.. thanks to the people that have helped me on #ubuntu-uk irc channel, and also there Website, wiki's, faq's etc.

Before I used Linux, I used Windows XP Professional.. and all I knew command whise was;

cd c:\ f:\ x:\ etc..
ipconfig /all /release /renew /flushdns etc..
tree
exit :)

I can't see why it's annoyingly complicated and convoluted?
If a Windows user like me can do it, anyone can IMO :D

Finally dumped fedora and went back to Ubuntu (using SUSE on this netbook is pointless). I really like the UNR interface. However, I hate the unbearably slow write speed of the SSD.
I'm looking forward to getting home where my nice PC and a shiny new copy of windows 7 are waiting.
