SOTW and IOTW?

Postby Criminal Damage on Wed Nov 21, 2012 12:29 pm

What's happened to these? There hasn't been a new once since I last visited the site

I'd happily take over running them if no one wants to do it anymore.

Last ones were in July, which is a shame - especially IOTW because it's cool seeing the new images appear in-game :P

I can make you one if you want - I'll have a play around in Photoshop

I tried taking over SOTW but unfortunately there are not that much entries and i do not want to be like, hee guys, more entries please. It's just not worth the time.

IOTW i have no clue about. Always loved that and still think lots of people do.

I'll have a think about what we can do.

They were liked, but unfortunately not enough regular entrants to make it worth doing, as MrsSekhmet said we did try to revive SOTW but it didnt seem popular at the time.

Maybe we could do them monthly or something instead.

Well it'd be good to get IOTW going again, as that directly affects the servers.

IOTW was passed on to odgor who hasn't been that active on the forums lately. I'm willing to take over again if people are interested.
We do need entries though. if there aren't enough entries to start a vote the competition will just die again, so spread the word.

I think (as already mentioned) every week is probably too much.

I vote for IOTF (...fortnight) so it's still regular, but not too regular. Gives people more chance to get decent photos as well
