in the army now!

Postby Primal ShadoW on Sun Sep 07, 2008 1:45 am

i finally have the opportunity to use a pc for a longer period of time. and look where i ended up.

been in the army for 4 weeks now, and its well fun. weve been woken up at 6 o clock every morning, followed by breakfast, cleaning our room and lining our squad up outside our barrack. weve done so many things i never thought id do, main thing being shooting with this sexy beast of a rifle: http://www.flickr.com/photos/14006392@N08/1417891894/. red dot sight, tactical light and vertical grip. OMG ITS ALMOST LIEK DODS MP40 LOLZZZ. weve also been taught shitloads of different combat strategies, how to effictively return fire, get to cover, drive light combat vehicles, aquire targets with thermal vision, how to aim, think, work under pressure etc etc.

got my first weekend pass the 19th sept, looking forward to having a proper night sleep.

hope youre all good and dods is still alive and kicking.

Wow! Congrats in settling in at the army - you're certainly taking this DoD thing very seriously aren't you - wanting max resolution, full fps and all the power ups! That gun looks amazing!

The "up at 6am" didn't sound so great to me, but depends what time you're sent to bed. If its 10pm, thats not too bad.

Looking forward to hearing how it goes over the next few weeks.

*salutes*

Have fun and hope there isn't too much route marching for you :P

Only thing I like about the vertical grip is that it can be used for the front gun rest, saves having to carry a monopod or bipod with you :)

Well at the MP camp we had stress shooting where we had to wear rain gear, gas mask, combat vest/belt, helmet, rifle and then went for a run in the forest and came back to shooot ;C My mask was flooded with sweat.

........Then another round for pistol shooting ;G and I can say that shooting with gas mask on is......FUDGING AWESOME!
