I have noticed however that the new Whilst the server is much faster & Great after you have loaded

it does take a bit longer to Actaully connect to, Me & Mike Both Noticed this.
When your loading up the server (with the white bars)
i used to just see a flicker of loading bar then i was in.
now it holds on the retriving server info for 5 odd seconds or so.
its not a big deal at all but i thought it was worth mentioning.

Hi. That's interesting. I've still got the old machine so I'll run a couple of tests. I suspect its just a case of 'its different'. The new server hardware is twice as powerful as the old one, and the hardware config is quite different so may handle connection data differently from what we're used to. Overall, in game play should be very very good I'd hope. :D

after looking, is it just Donner that changed? (thats only one with name change)

as i was having the problem on #1 the custom map/vavle server.

Its all very fast once your in, but like i said takes a bit longer to get the "Retrieving Server Info" i counted it last night slowly

(this was with 4 players on server #1 and 32 on Donnar)
Overall Loading Time: 12 Seconds
Retrieve Loading Time: 9 Seconds

Used to be (Both servers Maxed used vip to get in)
Overall Loading Time: 6 Seconds or so.

like i say its not a big deal but, was worth mentioning. :D

although TC i have a i7 Gaming Rig.
QaudCore 3.6Ghz 6GB DDR3 2x280GTX SLI

They are very fast but 90% of the software does not take advantage of the HyperThreading layer's which is a pain as then 4 threads are not being ultilzed. Then you have the software that does not take full advantage of Qaudcore

Software developers seriously need to catch up  & i work for a software/hardware company :D
