We have now introduced class limitations on all maps. Snipers, MG's and rockets have been limited to two of each per side.

Shall see how the limitations go, sounds good for the game but not sure about the feeling of the masses?

Whats everyone else think, or is it just me lol?

Not trying to poke at it Cloth just wounderd if peeps might get a bit cheesed having to pick only a couple of charicters to spawn as?

Basically some of the maps (mostly Omaha) are very one sided with no limits on the weapons. It seems to be working well, the gameplay is alot more evenly balanced.

gr8 addition i have seen some maps flash where teams have had 10 mgs each and it was just stupid tbh

eek.... if i cant get me sniper ill be gutted tbh, i cant use anything other than sniper or maybe just maybe a riffle :x

I agree it does make it much more fair for both teams, tho there maybe some arguments about this with other people :?

Yep it seem to make the game flow better, even with 50 players spawning, maybe its time to test 60 players now with this new limitation in place ?

Yeh the 60 or 64 person maps may actualy be poss with the new implamentation, however it would need some good and long testing on all the maps to make sure :)

well imho had an hour on server 2night for first time since this was introduced, and tbh i just got really bored, i mean dont get me wrong i like the fact u can walk round a corner now without a guy being on the floor with a machine gun pointin at ya, but for the whole hour i was on not once was i able to get the sniper, and it really took all the enjoyment out of it for me, i dont think ill b playin DoD much anymore, 2night has just killed my enthusiasm for the game. is there any way people can think of, or TC especially, where we can somehow rotate who gets the restricted weapons, as the same 2 or 3 people on each team had sniper for a good hour. also then cause they didnt want to lose their sniper they just stayed right at the back, just waitin for 1 guy to rush instead of gettin into battle and helping take flags etc. maybe we need to adjust the numbers slighty see how that works or something.


and im sorry if little of this makes sense, ive had a long day and im v tired

But how the devil this will be implemented baffels the hell out of me lol
But then again its what TC good at, not me :)

Yeah I agree with Rufus, too many players love the sniper, and it really isnt gamebreaking since the rifles perform "almost" as well, the only map that need sniper limitations, is Omaha, and then only the germans, the allied could have all snipers and it would be fine, all other maps dont hold any particular advantages for a sniper.
The MG and Rocket however can really break a game if they are fielded én masse, especially the MG42 !

Would it be possible to limit the sniper rifle on Omaha only ? It doesnt really make a difference on the other maps.

i was thinking this too (but I got the sniper for omaha - :D)

Perhaps a menu for people to 'register interest' in a particular weapon, then the allocated class slots rotate round those people.

Thats how i think it could work, just no idea if it would work :)

Ive increased the limits to 4 rather than 2 of the special categories. On a large server i think we should have more. 2 is probably good for 32 player.

Let me know if that doesnt work out. Ta.

yea cheers TC maybe different people have more chance to get sniper now, and i just realised i lied in what i wrote, i did get a sniper for about 2 seconds, picked one up from a dead guy, but then got naded:(
