ok so HDR hasnt been released yet but its coming (along with the britsh class more VALVe maps and performance fixes)

here are few forums about really cool looking DOD:S maps (not yet released and wont be untill HDR is released and they will put it in there map so they should look nice and perty when there released)

Nice find Petie. I've looked into lease maps and they all look good. But atm only Dod_opo_liberer_beta2 is available as a beta release. Awesome little map, basically the same as Omaha except the only way into the German held areas is the rush the beach and blast holes in the bunkers. I shall speak to TC and arrange a test of this map soon.

Shame omaha was the bug prob mabe the updated (non beta) version will work better when relesed? We shall see?

dod_opo_liberer_beta2 is set so only the U.S. Army can capture one of the flags. So be warned the other side cant win on this map... they win by preventing all 3 flags from falling into the wrong hands. I would also say that this map does favor the u.s. army but only if they play it right.

dod_opo_liberer_beta2, this map is soo bad and is obviously hated by many players. the original omaha map was better, you mite consider taking them both out until a bug free original omaha comes out.

Yep, there all pretty poor atm. There are good maps coming out, but when that will be i dont know.

libere sent me nuts. If you don't get a sniper rifle then it's just a case of running up the beach and trying not to get shot. If you get to the top then you have a choice between two choke points, which are both at the top of ladders, the worst type. What makes it even worse is the fact the Axis appear to spawn right next to the flags, not that I ever got the chance to play as Axis.

I did manage to capture one of the flags twice, but it's friggin hard to keep it and it's very unlikely they would both get captured at the same time. Also this map has no sides which looks bloody stupid.

There's some damn fine looking maps in the works, but the nubs at Valve are taking their time releaseing the SDK update. Gabe should get off his fat arse and do some work.

Played a new custom map the other day that actually looked and played pretty good.

The maps called dod_dijon_rc2

I managed to find a download for it on the DoD Christian Soliers website!!

Can you believe there is a Christians only clan now!?

Anyway; a few others I know have played it and agree its good fun, so maybe we could give it a test?

Errm does anybody know if UKCS will be playing any custom made maps as a lot of people ask me on the server?

We have a number of customs maps on the server, but they are not on rotation. They were removed due to low player levels. We will implement them again slowly but surely
