I just have to let the secret out lol.
As some of u know, the secret map im working on is a complete remake of de_parthenon. I should hopefully have a beta1 intime for rush nite :).
It is bassicaly de_parthenon but italian with more routes, and hell alot of CQC will be involved. Willp ost screenies when the map has taken shape, well it is nearrly there, just the textures not rite, brick floor for everty wall lol.

Please note!
This is not ripped, it is a complete remake, not even one copy and paste from teh original.

Please post anything u want to be included in this map here, i will do my best. unfortuantley it may not be Optimsed, so their maybe an FPS issue at beta1, so i may work at optimsaiotn rather then detail for rush nite.

Optimise it.. ;)

de_parthenon has vis leafs going up to the skybox, which meant the entire map (pretty much) was being rendered

As i said, it wont be properly optimsed for rush nite,i will work on optimisation rather then detail for the ruish nite version, or de_parthe_ita_rn
The skybox here will be shorter anyway.

There will be alot more routes, less camp spots, boxes for CQC (not cover). The original idea of the map was to mkae it more rushy and better textures.

Anywayz, here are some screenies from hammer, i know the textures arent so good. BTW at CT spawn there will be a huge Italy Like Market, just imaging the combat :) very fun !

Just posting to say this map will have a nice anti camp system to prevent camping, well will make it easier to be killed icamping. Plz be aware this may mean sucide :twisted:

Will be starting on the market area (CT Spawn) and the bombsite (not temple one) after i finsh skeloton of the temple, i will then post a quick overview to show possible routes.


Details on Anti Camp System :

The anti-camp system is done thanks to the use oh Physboxes. What the system does is by allowing anything whcih can be used to camp behind, or take cover to be destroyed. The cover is not just destroyable, but will cause for anything around it to take damage, currently 50 HP. Also, ground behind cover may be breakable, to prevent people using it for cover, but only in places where it would not cause any leaks or exploits. The use of explosive barrels aroud the map will be used.

Due to a MASSIVE layout problem, spawn killing, trying to fix it will involve remaking most of the map, one day, however i may try to fix it. If anyone would like the VMF, contact me and I may give it out.

I have never played on a de_parthenon map ever before. I know a website that has made one with great detail yet never played.is it any good? If someone has played then please tell me.
