Yep, i added some displacements rocks and grass. Currently the geometry is fine but the looks have some downsides.

1. It needs to be extended so its larger
2. Too much grass
3. Grass fades too early so i have to add some grass props instead

But then again, from some angles some places look excelent

Displacements are hell :D.
Be sure to surround all the sides of the displacements with normal solid brushes, I learned the hard way :(

Seeing as this was bumped,
Is this still going alias? I think its a great concept and the bits you've done so far look great. :)
There are 10 types of people in the world: those that know binary, those that don't, and those that didn't expect this joke to be in base 3.

Well, im basicly too busy with work to continue on this. I was even thinking of making the vmf public so other people can decide if they want to continue. I however wont be as work is too important and im usualy too tired to work on the map (hence i now only play tf2/p2/l4d2 but dont map). Im not thinking about getting all the work wasted and instead might release the vmf to let others know how i mapped.

You also had to note that only like 20% was detailed and that it already took me 2 months to get into that state when the shape was finished. If i would continue to spend all my spare time on the map instead of tf2 that could still take me up to 6 months (more likely 4 but thats still massively long). The shape itself did take me about a year in total because at that time i basicly already started to lack time to map. Work (and at that time school) is more important.

So you can call this map dead unless some other mapper (that i know he wont waste the map) decides to continue on detailing it.
Now on the workshop!

sad to hear that alias, map looks really promising so far. would of been awesome to get it to the stage that we can get it on rotation.
though i understand that to make something like this you need a lot of free time. hope you find a good mapper that can continue your work :)
