Players from 2007-2009 get together again

Hi,

i've not been on here for ages so if this treads on any related toes then i apologise, but chatting to Salva on Twitter today, we struck on an idea that we should have a get together on TF2, one friday or saturday evening for all the players from around a year ago who lost contact with Team Fortress 2 for one reason or another. I doubt many are still active on the forum so it may take some emailing, text, tweets etc to notify them, but we thought it would be a good way to re-unite friends/players (many of whom i remember were fantastic to chat to! and were regular as clockwork on UKCS servers) for an evening of 'good old times' on the TF2 UKCS servers.

If this sounds like you, and also if someone would like to take lead in organising this for sometime in the near future then just post below. I am just a mere mortal with no organisation skills or admin privaliges whatsoever so it will be an epic failure if i try to do it!

Players i can remember from back when i was a hardcore TF2 addict are
Deep Black, CIRI, Salva, KAN\o/, UK Sniper, Essence, Lord Talan, Psunfragga, Dr Snuggles, Goldblum, Nemesis666, Naz,Woofy Woof Woof, Pyromaniac Samantha, Sarah 'Cream Egg'.

vanilla still has airblast. this will not be tolerated.

I want a server with:

no gay arrows
no dead ringer
no new knife thing
no airblast
the original fast rockets
no airblast
long heavy spin up time and slooooow speed while firing
no airblast
level 1 dispensers and teleports only
no airblast
no jarate
did i mention no airblast?

This would be fantastic. i'd play everynight, even with no backburner.

I see about half of those on the servers regularly, and the other half I don't think I've ever seen (if they still go by those names).

You forgot airblast

Anyway some of those things are possible if server loses connection to steam, but about other, i don't know...I guess you could install tf2 via orange box CD and then disable automatic updates... or just find old pirated version

I don't know how to go about setting aside a server and arranging some older maps. Anyone know who to talk to for that?
