It all seems to be fixed now. Much as I want pretty Blood weapons I really want to feel I either earned them or paid for them as getting one by glitching would taint the prize for me.

Did anyone notice the invasion of Demoknights and Tomislav Heavies in mvm lately? Both are pretty useless...
Damn it's annoying. Can't even properly finish a tour because of dumbasses like this all the time.

Something that's been nagging away at the back of my mind about MvM mode has just finally surfaced and I hate to put a serious tone on a bit of fun but I don't like the implications of what I may have seen.

How many times have you seen people quit at the first failure of a wave? Are there really that many people whose response to a single failure is to simply quit?

Now this is balanced by those occasional rays of sunshine who take it all as a minor setback that just needs a few adjustments to fix next time round and I hope they take this attitude in real life. What worries me is the idea that those who quit at the first obstacle could do the same.

OK social commentary mode OFF.

No wonder I have so many grey hairs and whiskers.

ive seen people quit halfway through the 1st wave if it dosent go there way, its a common thing happening atm they seem to think that everyone can do it 1st try, most maps ive done it takes a round to work out wheres the best place to put players for maxium effect, like having 2 heavys attached to a dispenser either side and then 2 engies up top with sentry guns and maybe a pyro to airblast them or a scout to collect money.

Ive noticed that the players who quit after 1 round are those who are on there 7th or higher tour, its there attitude i dont like, especially if u have players who havent played mvm mode before they instantly expect them to know what to do. And tell them to go play with bots or come back when they know what they are doing, its cruel and mean i try and help new players if i can even if others are having a dig.

Sometimes it's better when there isn't any evidence of what we get up to. Unless somebody did take screenies of the 'pit' incident with an AFK pyro.

Those Mecha Engies... are hard. They build teleporters and sentries.
The teleporters emit a big column of light so you can more easily spot them, but the sentries really do prevent you from just running around on the map. If you dont have the demo take those out quick, you get pinned down and you lose tons of money.

Mecha Engies are like Botmedics and Botsnipers: destroy that bish as quickly as possible. And yes, sometimes they have a Botmedic protecting them and yes, there are 3 Mecha Engies at a time on the map sometimes.
Demo becomes really important with this new bot.

I wonder if the engineers are a way of increasing the importance of certain classes which at the moment can get left out a bit? Now I've seen good spies at work and they do a fantastic job but MvM has to cater to people of all skills so that spy sapper now becomes much more important and snipers being able to pick off engineers etc. The main fault of MvM is some classes can get left out a little unless in the hands of the better players where the design of the game works against their class. A good sniper or spy can overcome this but a mid range struggles which is a bit unfair and if Valve can tweak it with maps and units where these classes can shine then all the better.

Hopefully I can take a crack at this new one when some of the last minute Christmas preparations stuff is dealt with.

I have that feeling too. Would be pretty good though.

I'm not sure what to suggest apart from the usual verify the game files and maybe de-fragment the cache.

I played my last ever match on intermediate last weekend as I now have all the blood weapons so haven't got any more reason to play but my last ever was such a treat. The team all seemed very young but stayed so positive and tried so hard I was happy to guide them with a little bit of gentle nudging to victory where older teams would have quit they stuck at it until they won. It was such a nice way to say goodbye to this mode but now I can focus on the new maps once this horrible cold I have finally goes away. :ill:
