Your most treasured item

Postby Snowbat on Tue Dec 17, 2013 8:16 am

What is your most precious TF2 item? Wether it's a hat, weapon, item, whatever.
I'm not talking about your item that's worth most on the market or the one that has most kills on it perse, but the one you treasure the most. The one you wouldn't sell ever. It can even be a cheap, ugly hat, doesn't matter.

And no the poopgibus doesn't count :-P

Mine is without a doubt my Strange Festive Sticky Launcher. Mainly because... well it's strange and festive (and I like the pretty lights) but more importantly, because the counter of the Robots Destroyed strange part is starting to get really high. I know, killing robots is easier than killing people in PvP but still...

Image

Secondly, my Backburner. Because the strange part Allies Extinguished shows almost as many extinguished mates as the weapon has kills and it proves once and for all to all those "OMGOD DEGREASER IS BETTER" people that you can still be a good extinguishing Pybro despite the higher airblast cost of the Backburner :D

What's yours?

But what if the Gibus was actually someone's most precious item :P

Mine is my Strange Festive Übersaw; first because it is strange festive (I had the festive one until I was gifted this one), it looks cool with the tiny flickering lights, and it's an übersaw. I plan on adding a Spies Killed strange part on it for the lols (or the trolls, I don't know).

Secondly, I'd say my Merc's Muffler. I find this item to be pretty cute actually, and it fits all the mercs.

There is also my good old regular Kritzkrieg which I named "Solly's best friend". It's one of the first items I dropped and I have it from my very first hours on TF2, never deleted or crafted it even though it's a plain simple Kritzkrieg... but it is full of good memories and I learned to use Kritz with it. I have a Vintage one (I can't, and will never be able to afford a Strange one) but I never used it even though it is more valuable on the market. From this time Kritzkrieg was and will always be my favourite medigun. I plan on making it a Killstreak weapon since I can't have a Strange Kritzkrieg.

Then there are my Strange rocket launcher, Shotgun and Escape Plan; their kill count isn't very high but I don't care, it's simply because I have named them from thrash metal bands so I think it makes an awesome set :P I wouldn't sell these, or maybe the 3 as a set but that's not the plan.

Hmm, I have a few - my Hale's Own Rainblower - because everyone hates Rainblowers and their constant beratement spurred me on.
- my purple Lo-Fi Longwave - because it was a lovely surprise reward for being an admin.
- the Poop Gibus - because it is the trolliest hat created by one of the trolliest people I've ever met.

I <3 Fay Wray.

Like Sieben said, it was really cool of the Kritzkast & UKCS to drop these hats on us as a "thank you" for being admins.

I don't have any unusual items, but I do have a Bill's Hat, which is pretty cool. I'd swap it for a strange kritz, mind. :D (I realise a strange kritz is probably worth 3 or 4 Bill's Hats on the open market.)

Yes, even more so than my LoFi (which I got separate to you lot), BMOC, other Crate #30 Stranges, or my S.F. Minigun.

Whatever happened to Fay Wray? That delicate satin draped frame. As it clung to her thigh, how I started to cry, as I wanted to be dressed just the same.

*ahem*

I don't really have an item I would never consider trading, or I would say is my favourite. I really like my Pink flipped trilby with vivid plasma and my lo-fi. I think the items I have the most fun with are some of the halloween ones. Particularly the unicorn hat (Magical Mercenary) because of the new voice lines and the fairy heavy set. Full moons mean I play heavy, tutu, wings and magical mercenary for the full effect. Mostly because it makes me laugh every time :)

I could only fit up to "cry" in the description. :( And only then because I skimped on the punctuation. =)

I didn't notice the description! As much as I love the lo-fi as is. I might have to rename it. Probably with the description like: I wanna go, oh-oh, to the late night double feature picture show…by RKO

Not sure about the name, think you've hit the jackpot there.

My first wanted strange weapon. Have been using it alot except for mvm hence it doesnt have the strange parts for it.

My 2nd wanted strange weapon. Got it very early during the salvaged crates and for that reason had it before the major price jump. However, as mostly retired medic i dont use it very much. Although mvm is changing that again.

Re: Your most treasured item

1st one would have to be my Unusual Gentleman's Gatsby for the Medic. It was one of the 1st items I ever got out of a crate and I wore it with pride... Until I got item number 2 which is my Lo-Fi Longwave. Unlike some of the other TF2 Admins, I got mine last year when Kritzkast were giving them away over the Christmas period. Don't think I have ever taken it off the Demo ever since I got it.
I also have an Unusual Liquidator's Lid which I got when I was at i48 this year. Had a bunch of crates that I decided to open, and that was in the 1st crate I opened. Never did open the rest of the crates as I knew that was my lucky moment right there.

Hehe, I thought the stick bomb had a large kill count, but that's insane, Epicurus!

My highest melee kill count is 281 on my Amputator. I realise a spy knife is kinda different from standard melee weapons; but I've got not even got a primary weapon over 6000. =)
